Tessa Marchington
Managing Director
Tessa Marchington is a pianist, entrepreneur, and cultural leader known for integrating music into business and community settings. She founded Music in Offices in 2007 to bring music more into the fabric of city life, to boost the wellbeing of office workers, creativity and collaboration, whilst providing more work for emerging musicians. She is passionate about growing this ecosystem between arts & business and develops projects and performances to expand the impact and reach of music.
In addition to her work with Music in Offices, Tessa co-founded the Investec International Music Festival in 2010, bringing world-class classical music to the Surrey Hills. She was also the producer of the recent City Festival of Music, Invention & Knowledge and the health & wellbeing Symposium Coordinator of the Setúbal Music Festival in Portugal, which aims to enrich the cultural life of the region.
Tessa is an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music and was elected as a Councillor for Corrnhill Ward in the City of London in 2025.
She is a Trustee for British Youth Opera and sits on the Board of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
