Greening the City in Song
A cultural and educational project in celebration of sustainability and climate awareness, harnessing the power of music to connect the City community with young people and nature to champion climate action.
Why not take part and sing in a garden with your office choir, or join one of our existing company choirs for this project?
Introduction
Combined children and adult choirs will learn and perform songs from across genres and continents, from folk, classical, pop and contemporary, sacred and secular, and pieces co-created by the children. Over 500 children from City of London Schools and Tower Hamlets schools will join members of Music in Offices' and non-affiliated workplace choirs, alongside featured soloists and a live band. Choir recordings will be processed through app technology to generate live, plant-created accompaniments in real time
Supported by speakers and artists including Jackie Morris, Kate Daudy, Alex Hirtzel and Gianni Notarianni.
