Miguel combines work as a ballet accompanist with occasional conducting and musical arranging. In 2012 he founded and directed the ‘Albion Baroque Orchestra’, a specialist professional ensemble with a focus on the Baroque musical life in Britain. More recently, he has also formed ‘Albion Chamber Orchestra’, an ensemble with which he regularly performs a wide-ranging variety of orchestral repertoire, from Bach to Piazzolla.

Miguel has also been artistic director of the ‘Orquesta de los Adioses’ in Northern Spain and guest conductor for various other ensembles. His academic skills were recognised with an award from the Goldsmiths Society in 2002 and a distinction for his masters’ dissertation on John Eccles’s ‘Ode for the Birthday of Queen Anne (1703)’. 

As an arranger, Miguel has written titles for vocal ensembles such as ‘The Queen’s Six’, ‘6 for Chords’, and the Grammy-award winners ‘The King’s Singers’. His arrangements have been performed worldwide, and featured in recordings such as ‘The King’s Singers’ ‘Postcards’ or the recent ‘The Queen’s Six’ album ‘From Windsor with Love’ for which Miguel’s arrangement received high praise from theGramophone magazine.
