Melanie Sanders

Melanie is delighted to join Music in Offices as Director of Operations from November 2025. Her role spans all areas of MIO’s work, from managing relationships with clients, partners, and members, to developing new connections, producing events and projects, supporting the Managing Director, and providing internal team support.

Previously, Melanie was Personal Assistant to Esa-Pekka Salonen at the Philharmonia Orchestra for ten years. She has also worked at Trinity Laban Conservatoire and the Courtauld Institute of Art.

Alongside her administrative career, Melanie is an accomplished freelance mezzo-soprano, performing in the UK and internationally with ensembles including London Voices, the Monteverdi Choir, and in Family Sunday events at the Royal Opera House. She holds an Advanced Postgraduate Diploma in Singing from Trinity Laban and a BA (Hons) in Philosophy and English from Sussex University.
