Luke Sitaraman is an experienced tenor, composer, and musical director currently employed as a Lay Clerk at Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford as well as an Assistant Leader for the London Youth Choirs, while pursuing a busy freelance career. He recently graduated from the University of Oxford with a First Class BA in Music (2021-2024) and an MSt in Musicology (2024-2025) specialising in ensemble performance and 20th century Anglican choral repertoire. 

 

Luke’s diverse musical experience spans early music to jazz and new-music. He has directed ensembles including The Oxford Gargoyles and Oxford Harmony, co-founded the new-music collective Little Kitchen, and performs widely across England and abroad. Passionate about collaboration and creativity, he also composes, with recent work including a score for the short film In the Bag (directed by Ann Hawker), and arranges popular, classical, and jazz pieces for various ensembles. Luke is currently mentored by Carys Lane.
