Iona Kruger is a multifaceted performer whose experience spans from musical theatre, to folk song, to opera, and it’s not uncommon to find her in the horse-show ring with her beloved horse, Everton. Iona graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy in 2021 before going on to receive her Bachelor's degree in music from Williams College in 2025, where she was elected into the Phi Beta Kappa society and graduated Magna Cum Laude. The following year, she moved to London to pursue her theatrical aspirations at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, where she recently graduated with a Master’s degree in Musical Theatre. She continues her vocal studies with Anne Marie Speed of the Royal Academy of Music and Erin Casey of Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music.
Amidst the busy life of auditioning, Iona is delighted to teach voice with Music in Offices. She was previously a member of the professional acappella group Cape Harmony and served as Music Director of her collegiate acappella group, The Williams College Ephlats. She was also a proud member of the Williams College Chamber Choir under the direction of Dr. Anna Lenti and has taken on countless theatre and opera roles throughout the years. Perhaps most exciting was performing the role of Jesus in Mountview’s recent production of Godspell. Throughout her musical studies, Iona was fortunate to receive both the Timothy Taylor Trust Award in musical promise from Phillips Exeter Academy and the Shirley Stanton Prize in Music from Williams College.
When she’s not singing, Iona can be found teaching riding lessons and spending time with the horses at Wimbledon Village Stables. She is grateful for the extensive riding career and successful competition record she has built since learning to ride at age eight, much of which she owes to her current mount of six years, Everton. Most notably, she received the 2021 Junior Sportsmanship Award at the New England Equitation Championships and was the 2022 Rhode Island Equitation Finals Champion.
