Kwankaew Ruangtrakool is a Thai conductor and soprano driven by her ambition to create meaningful connections with people through music and inspire social change. She is currently pursuing an MA in Choral Conducting at the Royal Academy of Music.
She is a 2025-26 Fellow of the National Youth Choir, conductor of London Youth Choir West, Conducting Fellow with Hertford Choral Society, and works with Camden Youth Voices at Camden Music Service. Her previous experience includes serving as Associate Choral Leader at St Martin-in-the-Fields and Associate Conductor of the Covent Garden Chorus. She has also directed the Manchester University Chamber Choir Ad Solem, the University Symphony Orchestra, and Somnium Chamber Choir.
As a singer, Kwan was recently selected to join the World Youth Choir 2025 in Catalonia and France. She has performed leading operatic roles with Bangkok Youth Opera and the University of Manchester, and has led numerous vocal workshops in Thailand.
